The **Lion Sabatier Planchette Pain 046384** is a 2-piece set comprised of a 20 cm bread knife and a 50 x 17.5 cm bread board. A practical set for everyone who loves bread, but also great as a gift.

## Lion Sabatier bread knife

The bread knife has a blade made from X40Cr13 steel. A stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. The handle is made from beechwood. As such the knife looks very natural. It, however, also means that it is not dishwasher proof. Wash the knife by hand immediately after use and then dry it with a dry cloth. 

## Lion Sabatier bread board

Like the handle of the knife, the bread board is mde from beech wood. The board is 50 cm long (including handle), 17.5 cm wide and 2 cm high. The cutting board is enhanced with slots to collect the bread crumbs. As such your table or countertops stay free from crumbs.

## Cutting board maintenance

Wooden cutting boards need to be maintained. To make sure the cutting board stays in great shape we recommend adding a coat of oil before use. It makes the cleaning process easier, the wood won't dry out and it ensures that scratches are less visible. It is best to use a flavourless and fragrance-less oil. Almond or grape seed oil, for instance. (Please note: we do not recommend using almond oil if you are allergic to nuts). You can also use white mineral oil, but we recommend using [Eden cutting board oil](/en/pt/-eden-essentials-mineral-oil-for-wooden-cutting-boards-120-ml.htm). Don't use olive oil because it will become sticky. Something you, of course, want to avoid.
