With the **Light My Fire FireSteel Bio Scout** in the colour Rusty Orange you can easily and quickly start a fire. You move the metal strip or knife alongside the magnesium rod and a rain of sparks of 3000 degrees Celsius will ignite decayed wood powder or cotton wool. You can of course also use this FireSteel Bio Scout to light a gas torch or BBQ. And compared to matches or a lighter it won't be stopped by water.

 This lighter version can be used approximately 3000 times. The scraper is enhanced with an emergency whistle.

 The Light My Fire Bio-collection contains parts that are made from bio-based plastic. This material is obtained from biological raw materials and is bio-degradable. As such Light My Fire is environmentally conscious, reduces the ecological impact and stimulates the use of CO2 neutral materials.

Der Feuerstahl ist eine Wucht. Mit einem Messer angefeuert prachtvoll. 

Second purchase of this particular fire lighter. It works really well with children as a starter, as it's pretty dependable. I always choose the orange colour so it doesn't get mislaid on the forest floor!

Mit dem Firesteel lassen sich leicht Funken schlagen, die allerdings kaum bzw. gar nicht nachglühen, was das entzünden eines Feuers nur bei extrem trockener Witterung erlaubt. Außerdem löst sich der Firesteel nach wiederholter Nutzung aus dem Kunststoffgriff, was nicht so toll ist. Alles in allem ein mittelmäßiges Produkt, der erste gute Eindruck kann sich leider bei Nutzung nicht so wirklich halten…
