This **Laguiole en Aubrac oyster knife** is a remarkable and luxurious knife to safely and easily open oysters and other shellfish. Remarkable about this knife is the handle which is made from ground oyster shells and synthetic resin. The pieces of oyster shell shimmer in the light and change colour from white to mother of pearl. A stunning gift and the highlight of every successful oyster celebration!

## Laguiole en Aubrac Oyster blade

The blade is made from stainless 12c27 Sandvik steel. A type of steel with a relatively high carbon content making the knife hard, but also tough. Other than that the blade is relatively thick up to the pointed tip. As such you can easily open the oyster without having to be afraid the blade will break. The Sandvik steel is not prone to rust or end up with ugly spots. However, the salt water in oysters will affect any knife. That is why we always recommend cleaning and drying the knife after use.

## Laguiole en Aubrac Oyster handle from oyster shells

The handle is not only made from ground oyster shells, it is also enhanced with small decorations. The spine of the handle is embellished with file work that was applied by hand, the characterizing Laguiole bee and the scales are attached with rivets.
