The **Kizer Mad Tanto V4602V1** is a cool EDC pocket knife with a few striking design elements. As the name already suggests, this knife has a tanto-shaped blade. The combination between a hollow grind and a flat grind gives the blade a dynamic look. Another nice detail we find is the pivot (hinge screw). A hexagonal bolt has been provided for this on the show side.




The Kizer Mad Tanto V4602V1 buttonlock pocket knife, Damned Designs is a nice EDC pocket knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 8,8 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 12,7 cm long, and it weighs 115 g.



The Kizer Mad Tanto V4602V1 buttonlock pocket knife, Damned Designs opens quickly thanks to the flipper. Because the knife is equipped with ball bearings, the action is very smooth. Once opened, a button lock ensures the knife won't unintentionally snap shut during use. In terms of ease of use, this is one of the best locking mechanisms on the market.



## Blade made of 154CM steel
The blade of the Kizer Mad Tanto V4602V1 buttonlock pocket knife, Damned Designs is made of 154CM steel, an American type of steel that is very corrosion resistant and retains its sharpness well. Moreover, for a stainless steel, it is quite tough. Many knife steels were actually developed for other applications, and this is the case for 154CM too. It was originally designed for use in jet engines. It was knife maker Bob Loveless who made 154CM popular for use as a knife steel in the 1970s.



The blade is enhanced with a coating. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not specified which type of coating has been applied, however, what we do know is that a coating generally protects against corrosion. However, it is always possible for the coating to start showing traces of use after a while, such as scratches. This is normal wear and tear that gives your knife character.



## Micarta handle

The handle of this Kizer  is made of micarta and measures 12,7 cm in length. Micarta is a great material for pocket knife handles. This material is grippy, relatively lightweight and it looks very cool. It is composed of fabric fibres and synthetic resin. The resulting layers often even make micarta look a bit like wood. However, it is a very stable and strong material.

Ist ein schönes Messer mit Flipper & Button Look. Leider hat dieser bei mir Lockstick und wackelt ein wenig. Wenn das nicht wäre 1a

ik had iets meer 'mes' verwacht voor de prijs die ik voor deze Kizer betaald heb; in vergelijking met een andere Kizer mes, de ' Assasin' die een flink stuk goedkoper is valt deze iet wat tegen. Ik had h'm wat robuuster en zwaarder in geschat.. .Na wt gewnning toch tevreden. als tanto is deze zeker een goed EDC utillity mes voor alledaags gebruik. Iets wat ik niet snel zou hebben met dit tactisch model mes.
De afwerking is 'des Kizers' met inlay linners. , de compound 'grind' en  tiptop buttonlock.
