The **Kershaw Catalytic** is a seemingly simple pocket knife that opens quickly. When opening the knife with the flipper or thumb stud the blade is namely supported by an *assisted opening* mechanism. This is a spring that, as you push the thumb stud, gets to work and opens the blade. As such you can immediately get started.

Because of its appealing price this knife does not belong in a showcase. It is meant to be used. The stainless steel handle feels great in hand and the blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel. A simple stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. Also good to know: you can easily sharpen this type of steel. As such you will neve leave home with a blunt knife.

Hab das Messer bestellt, kurz in der Hand gehabt und sofort zurück geschickt.

Das Messer ist sowas von schwergängig zu lösen ( trotz Federunterstützung ) das es für mich nicht brauchbar war .

Knife seems fine but there is a problem when folding the knife. It impacts on a screw and the edge is damaged. It is not possible to keep the edge sharpened, there is always a dent.

Super schönes EDC Taschenmesser.
Liegt gut in der Hand, solide verarbeitet, stabiler Rahmen durch Edelstahl, nur 1cm breit. Klar es ist kein 150€ Messer, die Klinge hat etwas seitliches Spiel wenn man an der Klinge wackelt. Aber für ein 25€ Messer ist das in Ordnung.
Die Feder war mit etwas zu stramm, aber nachdem ich die Feder ausgebaut und etwas umgebogen habe war es perfekt. Und bei dem Preis muss man auch keine Angst haben was kaputt zu machen.


Onze kleinzoon vond het prachtig. Haha, maar ik wat minder. Solide, maar ik kreeg het moeilijk weer dicht. Kleinzoon vond ook dat oma’s van deze messen af moesten blijven. Hij had het mes zo dicht.
