The **light-weight Kahles Helia 8x42 RF binoculars** combine the high-performance optics of the Helia 42 with hunting relevant functions such as a scan modus and angle correction. Simple and reliable target recognition up to 1500 meters, the EAC, Enhanced Angle Compensation and the intuitive controls and menu navigation have turned this pair into the perfect companion for the demanding hunter.

 The OLED screen has five clarity levels that display the distance in meters or yards. You can easily set-up the pair via the menu navigation. The distance meter on the Helia RF also has a scan mode which provides continuous distance information. A large, centrally placed focus wheel takes care of precise focus settings. Even with one hand or when wearing gloves you can easily find the wheel.

 The pair has a great design: a compact size with an open bridge and a rubber cover. The weight of the pair is only 880 grams and as such incredibly low. This low weight, in combination with the open bridge, enables you to use the pair with one hand. But not only the design is great, the optical qualities are really surprising. A clear image that is sharp almost to the edges and the colours seem very lifelike.

 The binoculars have a natural, earth colour. The body is made from magnesium and covered by vulcanized rubber. This ensures a comfortable grip. The binoculars have an adjustable interpupillary distance of 58 to 72 mm. Finally, the Kahles Helia 42RF is enhanced with twist-in eye cups, with soft rubber edges.  ## Kahles binoculars: from Swarovski

 The name Kahles is connected to the historical production of rifle scopes by founder Karl Robert Kahles. In 1898 he produced the first rifle scope which he completely made by hand. After his passing his wife kept the company going and later on his sons. The sons decided to produce binoculars for hunting and sporting purposes. When it appeared that there were no heirs left Kahles sold the company to Swarovski. Ever since May of 1989 Kahles is an independent company within the Swarovski group.
