The KA-BAR BK11 neck knife is the result of a collaboration between knife designer Ethan Becker and KA-BAR. The knife is very light in weight, but because of the width of the blade still very sturdy. The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, which doesn’t make it stainless. Luckily, the blade has a black coating making maintenance a lot easier.

Das Messer ist schön leicht und recht scharf. Der Griff ist etwas klein für meine Hände, mit Paracord umwickelt geht es aber. Die Scheide ist aber etwas entäuschend, großer Spalt auf der einen Längsseite. Sonst aber ein gutes Messer für den Preis

Très joli couteau de cou , acheté pour compléter mon combo avec mon ka-bar bk2 , les deux couteaux étant montés avec des manches en Micarta..
Je trouve quand même le prix particulièrement élevé pour ce petit BK 11 , proportionnellement à un gros couteau de camp ou de survie comme le bk2 ..
Toutefois la qualité reste égale sur ces deux couteaux

Vulgarius meint, das BK11 Becker-Necker ist leicht, stabil und schneidfreudig.
Die Stahlqualität ist hervorragend. Das wahrscheinlich einzige Neckknife mit einem Drahtbrecher. 
Das Drahtbrechen - Versuch an Stacheldraht - ist übungsbedürftig, funktioniert aber im Notfall. Achten Sie bei solchen Versuchen auf Ihre Finger (Handschuhe) und lasst das BK11 dabei in der Scheide. Guter Stahl ist schön scharf.

Die einzige Werksscheide, die Vulgarius kennt, die mit einer echt funktionierenden Sicherung ausgestattet ist. Damit könnte man auch Fallschirm springen. Da geht nix fliegen.
Die Sicherung lässt sich aber auch leicht demontieren. 
Die Formscheide selber ist aus Kunststoff, ein bischen flexibler als Kydex. Hat am Rand 4 spezielle kleinere Befestigungsösen für Fallschirmschnur 3mm! und 5 bzw. 6 weitere Ösen (wenn man die Sicherung entfernt) passent für 550er 5mm. Lässt sich einfach mit 550 um den Leib binden. Geht auch cross draw.
Seit dem Vulgarius das Becker Necker hat, ist es bei ihm im Dauergebrauch und er hat noch keine ermüdungserscheinungen am Kunststoff-Material festgestellt. So eine Kunststoff-Qualität ist Vulgarius eigentlich nur von Glock bekannt. 
 
Zum Thema Neckknife: niemals um den Hals! Schon gar nicht mit Paracord oder irgedwelchen Kugel-(Klo)ketten - da hängen normalerweise nur Erkennungsmarken dran. Wie schnell stolpert man oder bleibt  irgendwo hängen. Messer gehören grundsätzlich nicht um den Hals - Lebensgefahr.

Abschließend sagt Vulgarius, BK11 ein konkurrenzloses Produkt aus dem Hause BK&T Ka-Bar. Durchdacht, supergebrauchsfähig, Klasse!
