Geen ervaring met het stroppen van messen dus helaas kan ik geen vergelijkingen geven. De riem is van dergelijke kwaliteit en vergeleken met andere riemen is deze wel betaalbaar. Toch merk ik wel dat je messen scherper worden, hier bereik je echt scheermes scherpte mee maar nogmaals ik heb geen vergelijkingsmateriaal

Na eerst een handgemaakt Fontenille Pataud mes gekocht te hebben bij K&T dacht ik dat ik daar nog meer aandacht aan zou willen besteden dan als ik normaal al bij mijn messen doe. Aan een bot mes heb ik niks dus ik slijp ze regelmatig op een aantal wetstones. Nu zag ik bij K&T dat tegenwoordig de ouderwetse scheerriemen weer 'in'  waren, waar de barbier vroeger zijn mes op scherpte, dus maar een besteld, in combinatie met polijstpasta, teneinde na de laatste slijpgang ook nog maar eens de snede te richten zoals je met zo'n riem doet. Ik vind het moeilijk te beoordelen of het daadwerkelijk iets doet, ik moet het gewoon een tijd aankijken of de tijd tussen reguliere slijpbeurten langer wordt als je er om de paar dagen eens overheen gaat met je mes. De tijd zal het leren.
De kwaliteit van de riem is wel goed, de prijs naar verhouding helaas ook. Tamelijk duur voor een reep leer met wat metaal aan de uiteinden.
