The **Fox Knives USA Forza Droppoint** is a tough and light-weight EDC pocket knife, designed by Mike Vellekamp. With an 8.8 cm blade the Forza is incredibly light-weight with only 80 grams. Ergonomically speaking the Forza is also amazing. The large finger grooves ensure that you have enough grip in different circumstances. Even when the handle is wet, or while wearing gloves. Fox calls this the droppoint version, we, however, feel it looks more like a sheepsfoot.

It is also great that Vellekamp designed the Forza as such that it can be used by left and right-handed users. The thumb studs are placed on both sides of the blade and the back lock is also symmetrically placed. Add the fact that the pocket clip can also be placed on the left side and you understand that the Forza is a friend to all.

The blade is made from 154CM-steel. It retains its sharpness well and is stainless. The handle is made from FRN. A plastic reinforced with glass fibres. Rock-solid and light-weight at the same time. Because of the texture on the handle, you have a lot of grip.

The Fox Knives Forza was made in the United States. That is why it is even more impressive that it has such an amazing price. An excellent knife for daily use.

Excellent couteau, avec une lame magnifique en acier 154CM. L'ouverture se fait tranquillement, le verrouillage est solide avec le back lock. L'aiguisage en sortie de boite est très bon. La préhension est bonne, exactement la même que pour les autres modèles de la série. Très bonne idée d'avoir mis des canelures à l'avant de la lame. Pas de platines en acier dans le manche d'où un poids très réduit. 
Assez déçu en revanche du clip, le loctite m'a fait flinguer la vis quand j'ai voulu switcher en position gaucher, de ce côté là je suis assez déçu, mais j'aurais pas du forcer autant. C'est juste que même avec mon tournevis spécial j'ai défoncé la vis qui n'a pas bougé d'un pouce. C'est vraiment dommage... Pourquoi les fabriquants verrouillent aussi fort les vis d'un clip qui doit être réversible ? C'est idiot. 


Bei diesem Messer bin ich etwas zwiegespalten. Es liegt wunderbar in meiner Hand, hat eine sehr gute Klingenform für meine Schneidarbeiten und wirkt trotz der leichten Bauweise robust. Es ist leicht und liegt nicht schwer in der Hosentasche.

Da ich über etliche Cold Steel Messer der günstigeren Preiskategorie verfüge, ziehe ich diese zum Vergleich heran. Zum vollen Preis hätte mich das Messer enttäuscht. Die Griffschalen wirken billig und an den Seiten scharfkantig, sind jedoch sehr stabil. Das kann CS besser.

Die Klinge war zwar scharf, jedoch sehr rau geschärft. Alle Kanten, besonders die geriffelten, auf die man z. B. den Daumen bei Schneidarbeiten drauflegt, sind sehr scharfkantig, nichts ist abgerundet. Das fasst sich unangenehm an und wird sicherlich auch so manchen Hosentaschenstoff angreifen. Die Klinge lässt sich sehr schwergängig ausklappen, geht mit zwei Händen besser, als mit dem Daumenpin. Auch das kann CS besser.

Wie schnitthaltig der 154CM ist, muss die Praxis erweisen. Ich werde das Messer an den Problemstellen überarbeiten, dass sollte jetzt nichts unmöglich sein. Der Clip ist quasi der Handschmeichler bei diesem Messer, abgerundet und damit auch gut einsetzbar. Zudem kann man ihn, wenn ich das richtig sehe, umsetzen. Die versendeten Schrauben haben Torxköpfe - gut. Der Backlock hält die Klinge sicher, ist beim Lösen aber etwas "knochig". Klingenspiel und Backlock können sich beim Gebrauch eventuell noch einspielen.

Zum reduzierten Preis ist das Messer sicherlich keine Katastrophe, zaubern kann da kein Hersteller, jedoch kann es der Mitbewerber CS dann doch besser.
