The **Fox Black Fox Explorator FOBF-749** is an outdoor knife, designd by Alfredo Doricchi. As the name already suggests the Explorator is made for adventurers and very versatile. Think of building shelter for the night. Or a fire, with the included firesteel. You name it, the Explorator can do it.



The blade is made from decent 440C steel. A stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well, but is also easy to sharpen. The handle is made from stylish micarta and offers a lot of grip. Nicely rounded for a comfortable grip. You can carry the Explorator in the kydex sheath from your belt.

Regulärer Preis nicht Wert, habe es im Angebot gekauft deshalb behalte ich es. Der Gürtel Adapter sitzt nicht richtig und der Feuerstahl ist im Weg, was das ziehen extrem behindert. Den Gürtel Adapter anders Positionieren funktioniert nicht, fehlt 1 Bohrung auf der anderen Seite. Beim Ziehen des Messer zwickt man sich den Daumen in die Scheide, weil zu großer Abstand bei den Platten. Manche Kanten vom Griff sind gar nicht abgerundet. Trotz Handarbeit 
nicht gut verarbeitet. Für den Preis gibt es bessere. Von mir keine Empfehlung.

Ein Gürtel-Survival-Bushcraft-Messer mit Zufriedenheitsgarantie. Als passionierter Messersammler sehe ich hier alle relevanten Anforderungen erfüllt: Optimale Klingenlänge, full tang, drop-point-Klinge mit tadelloser Schärfe, als Besonderheit eine kleine Stufe im Klingenrücken als Widerlager für den Daumen beim Fassen des Messers weiter in Richtung Spitze für Detailarbeiten, schöne Micarta-Griffschalen, gute Ergonomie, prima Scheide mit festem Sitz und nicht zuletzt der inkludierte Feuerstahl. Und das alles zum attraktiven Preis mit Fertigung in Bella Italia, was will man mehr? Wer es nicht besitzt, wird nie wissen, was ihm fehlt...
