The **Extrema Ratio KH** is a large fixed knife, inspired by the Kukri. This is a type of knife that has its origins in the Gurkha regiments in Nepal. The kukri is an all-round machete that can also be used as an axe.


This Extrema Ratio KH is quite large, with a blade length of 31.2 cm and a total length of 49.5 cm. However, the forprene handle is very cleverly shaped so that it is still easy to manage. There is even a finger groove in front of the finger guard. This allows you to grab the knife close to the edge, giving you lots of control. At the front of the handle there is a groove where your index and middle fingers fit perfectly. If you grab the back of the handle, your natural reaction is immediately a chopping movement. Exactly as Extrema Ratio intended. And it chops wonderfully, because the centre of gravity is towards the front of the blade in front of the handle. Perfectly balanced.



These types of machetes are often made from a soft carbon or tool steel. Extrema Ratio has made this with Böhler N690 - a stainless, hard steel. Precisely the opposite. However, they've put a lot of thought into the heat treatment, which means this blade is still tough enough for chopping.



The reinforced sheath is equipped with straps that can be attached to the thigh. Luxurious and versatile!
