The **ESEE Maintenance Set** is a maintenance set for knives. It was specifically designed fot the carbon steel ESEE knives and their sheaths, even though you can also easily use this set for comparable outdoor knives.


The nylon pouch contains, first of all, two sharpening stones. These are EZE-LAP diamond-coated sharpening stones in the grains Medium and Fine. Perfect to keep your knives in great shape in the field. Diamond-coated sharpening stones leave you with a relatively aggressive edge that is amazing to use. Exactly what you need in the field.


Most ESEE knives are made from carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and rock-solid, but not stainless. That is why this set also contains a stick Red Eyed Hog B-Fat. With it you can grease the blade to prevent rust. It is also flammable and can therefore help you build a fire. You can also use this stick to make sure your leather becomes waterproof.


Finally, the set contains a can with two sets of screws (torx and philips head) and two torx keys. You use one set to mount the maintenance set on the sheath of your ESEE knife. The other proves its worth when one of the other screws of your sheath set-up is missing. You can, of course, also set up the can as an Altoids survival kit. It has enoug room for some fish hooks and wire, for instance.


This ESEE set is a must-have for everyone who is planning to enter the wilderness for a couple days. It will help you keep your most important tools in great shape.
