The **EKA RTG-1 Ready to Go** is a robust survival knife. Made in the United States. Take it with you as you go camping. Keep it on stand-by in your *bug out bag*. Wear it on your tac vest. The RTG-1 is always ready for an adventure!



With a 15 cm blade the RTG-1 is quite a large knife. And with its 290 grams it is also not a light-weight knife. You feel that this is a strong knife. Pure quality. If you are familiar with survival knives you also immediately recognize the hand of the maker in this knife: Rowen Manufacturing. They also produce ESEE Knives knives. As such you know that the quality of the RTG1 is great.



The handle with the subtle grip grooves is typical for EKA. It nicely fills your hand, without being too large. A pointed finger guard ensures that you don't slip and end up on the edge. The blade is made from rock-solid 1095 carbon steel. This is incredibly tough and easy to sharpen. Not stainless, but the coating will help with this.



The EKA RTG comes with a solid kydex sheath with clip plate. The holes in the sheath offer you many ways of carrying the knife. You can also purchase TEK-LOK's and MOLLE clips to attach it to the sheath.

Un couteau de survie qui change des sempiternels ESEE et qui est capable d'effectuer les mêmes taches. Le manche est bien plus confortable que celui du ESEE 6 dont les plaquettes sont rectangulaires et plates ce qui génére des douleurs dans la main lors d'une utilisation prolongée.
Son seul défaut est l'utilisation obligatoire d'une dragonne lors de fortes coupes à la volée. La forme de son manche et l'absence d'un retour du manche pour caler l'auriculaire peut faire craindre une perte du couteau. L'emplacement de l'index et le texturage du micarta palient en grande partie ce problème.
