The **CRKT Ripsnort II Black 7271** is a solid pocket knife, designed by Philip Booth. The Ripsnort II is a variation of the original, smaller CRKT Ripsnort. The blade is 6 mm longer and enhanced with a thumb stud. Instead of a flipper. 

If you are looking for a subtle and slim pocket knife for the finer cutting tasks this is probably not the knife for you. It is not what the Ripsnort II is meant for. The CRKT Ripsnort II is shaped like a cleaver. The blade is thick. The liners are thick. The scales are thick. The entire handle is thick. Everything is, except for the price. This knife is namely very affordable.

The cleaver blade is made from 8Cr13MV steel. A stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. Easy to sharpen, also because of the cleaver shape. You open the blade with the thumb stud. One firm click and it is open. When opened, the liner lock keeps the blade in place. We are not sure if the term linerlock is correct. These liners are namely so thick that this lock could almost function as a framelock.

The handle is made from GRN. A type of plastic with a nice finish. To break up the large black surface Booth decided to add a stainless steel inlay. A nice detail on a very cool knife.
