The **Chris Reeve Pacific** is a large survival knife, designed by Chris Reeve and Bill Harsey. These giants of the knife industry developed the Pacific as the civil version of the knife that was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the First Special Forces (Airborne). One of the places where these commandos served was the Pacific, hence the name.



The Pacific's ample blade is made from CPM S35VN steel. This is a stainless powder steel that was developed by Chris Reeve and Crucible. The blade has an excellent hollow grind, and because a large part of the blade is still very thick, it's incredibly robust. Another important feature is that the steel of the blade runs throughout the handle, in other words: full-tang. A KG GunKote coating has been added to the blade to prevent rust and reflections.



The handle is made from micarta. This incredibly strong, lightweight material is perfect for handles. It feels great in hand and provides plenty of grip. And micarta still offers enough grip even if it gets wet. The textile fibres in the material expand a little, which creates additional texture. Because of the handle's size, even users with large hands will be able to get a good grip. The Pacific is also easy to use while wearing gloves.




The Chris Reeve Pacific comes with a fantastic nylon sheath. It has a plastic insert and is also MOLLE-compatible. You can tell straight away that this sheath is well thought out: the inside of the plastic insert has a layer of fabric to make sure the knife won't move inside the sheath.
