The **Böker Manufaktur King Cutter 140524** is a top-quality straight razor. Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This *straight razor* is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany. The King Cutter is one of the best-selling straight razors on the market. It has been produced ever since the start of the 20th century. Its blade height of 5/8" makes it perfect for daily use. Even inexperienced users can easily use this knife.



This straight razor has an *extra hollow* grind with a *ridge*. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The *ridge* ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.



The handle is made from black plastic. The nickel-silver Böker logo was placed in the side and polished. On the blade you will find the characterizing King Cutter engraving. On both sides of the tang, in between the edge and the handle, grip serrations were added. As such you have a lot of control over the shaving movements.

Böker used carbon steel for this straight razor. Although the technical number 1.2210 might not mean that much to most, the term *Solingen steel* has an excellent reputation worldwide. You could even say that a part of Solingen's reputation as a knife city is the result of the excellent steel quality. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.
