The **Bestech Tardis BG42** is a cool EDC pocket knife with a distinct design. As square as the Tardis from the British TV series Dr Who, as razor-sharp as you would expect from a Bestech pocket knife. What is special is how the sleek lines of the handle continue into the finish of the blade.




The Bestech Tardis BG54G Blue G10, pocket knife, Ostap Hel design is a nice EDC pocket knife in the colour blue. With its blade length of 8 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 11,5 cm long, and it weighs 120 g.



You can easily open the Bestech Tardis BG54G Blue G10, pocket knife, Ostap Hel design with one hand using the thumb stud. This knife runs on ceramic ball bearings, ensuring the knife runs smoothly. Once opened, the liner lock ensures that the blade is locked and won't unintentionally snap shut.



## Blade made of D2 steel
The blade of the Bestech Tardis BG54G Blue G10, pocket knife, Ostap Hel design is made of D2. This is a tool steel that has been used for all kinds of cutting tools since World War II. It is tough, easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness very well. Do take care around moisture and acids; D2 is not entirely stainless. It may discolour or even rust if not properly taken care of. Therefore, it's important to clean and dry the blade after use, and a drop of oil every once in a while can't hurt.



The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It's a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.



## G10 handle

The Bestech Tardis BG54G Blue G10, pocket knife, Ostap Hel design features a handle made from G10 and measures 11,5 cm in length. G10 is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. With its subtle texture, G10 feels great in hand and offers plenty of grip. Moreover, it is incredibly strong, so it can take a beating.

This Bestech Tardis BG54G Blue G10, pocket knife, Ostap Hel design is designed by Ostap Hel, an extremely prolific knife maker from Poland. Even though he collaborates with various brands, his style is easy to recognize. Clean lines and smooth transitions define his work. This transition concerns materials, shapes and textures, but also the transition between blade and handle. Funnily enough, Ostap Hel started metalwork as an apprentice using medieval techniques; a stark contrast to the ultra-modern designs and production methods he uses today.
