With the **Bestech Explorer BG37**, Bestech has discovered a new purpose for the tanto blade shape predominantly used for tactical knives. In its compact size, the Explorer is made for EDC: everyday carry.

You open the knife with the subtle flipper, which you barely notice once the blade is opened and locked. You can also use the thumb hole. The blunt tanto-style tip of the knife is relatively thick behind the edge. This means the tip won't break off quickly with heavy use. The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough tool steel that retains its sharpness well. D2 is also fairly easy to sharpen. Do take care around moisture and acids: D2 is not as corrosion-resistant as some stainless steels.

The handle is made from G10 scales on steel liners for extra stability. There is a distinctive V-shaped recess at the end of the handle. This is for your thumb when holding the blade in a reverse grip. The handle has milled cutouts that don't just look great, they also reduce the knife's overall weight.
