The **Bark River Trailmate 2** is a cool hunting knife. The design is baded on the Marbles Woodcraft 1915, but modified to be suited for hunting purposes. The clippoint-blade cuts through meat and fur like butter, and the handle feels great in hand. A classic hunting knife, ready for the twenty-first century.



The blade is made from CPM 154. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you might expect from Bark River the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by stropping it.



 The handle of the Bark River Quartermaster is made from *stacked leather*. These are stacked leather discs which, combined, form one comfortable handle. The knife is also enhanced with brass and vulcanized rubber spacers. The amount of manual labour involved is unimaginable for a (semi-)production knife such as this.



The Bark River Trailmate II comes with a leather belt sheath. belt width 8.0 cm). 


Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
