The **Bark River Teddy II** is a large and impressive outdoor knife. Truly a knife that will bring a smile to your face when you hold it. It borrowed several design features from the knives made in Germany and the USA at the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century. Back then a real hunting knife, now the highlight of your collection!

The blade is made from A2 tool steel, a strong steel that would sooner bend rather than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean it after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by [stropping](/en/ct/stropping.htm) it.

The handle is made of canvas micarta, which is a strong and lightweight material made from linen and synthetic resin. It feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold conditions. On both sides the handle is flanked by a knife guard and pommel. The amount of manual labour involved is unimaginable for a (semi-)production knife such as this.

The Bark River Teddy comes with a luxurious leather belt sheath.

Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife may differ from the photos.
