The **Bark River Mini Fox River** is a relatively small and light-weight hunting knife. The original Fox River has been one of the most popular Bark River hunting knives for years. This is the Mini Fox River: a lot smaller, but still a great knife to use. The blade is not only shorter, it is also a lot thinner. Not only great for hunting purposes, but also as a light bushcraft knife or for EDC use.

 The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won't break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can [maintain by stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

 The handle is made from canvas micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.

 The Bark River Mini Fox River comes with a leather, right-handed belt sheath (max. belt width 5,4 cm). The great thing about this sheath is that you can carry it both horizontally and vertically on your belt.

 Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
