The **Bark River Jx5 Vengeful** is a solid machete. This is the kind of knife that will put a smile on your face when you hold it. With a blade thickness of around 4.8 mm, you know that this knife was made to be used.



The blade is made from CPM 3V steel, a tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. It is very hard to break, and also retains its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean it after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has a convex grind that can be maintained by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).



The handle is made of canvas micarta, which is a strong and lightweight material made from linen and synthetic resin. It feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold conditions.



The Bark River JX5 Vengeful comes with a leather belt sheath (max. belt width 5.9 cm). This sheath is suitable for left-handed and right-handed use.
