The **Bark River Jx5 Vengeful** is a solid machete. Truly a knife that will bring a smile to your face when you hold it. With a blade thickness of no less than 4.8 mm you know that this knife was made to be used.



The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won't break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil to keep this knife in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).



The handle is made from Dark Curly Maple. This is curled maple wood with a dark colour. A stunning natural product of which the look of the knife differs per knife.




The Bark River JX5 Vengeful comes with a leather belt sheath (max. belt width 5.9 cm). This sheath is suited for left and right-handed use.



Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same. Because each Bark River knife is produced by hand in select production runs the delivery times can vary greatly.
