The **Bark River Bravo Strike Force 2** was designed for military use, specifically for the U.S. Marine Corps. Soon, however, it became clear that this knife could do so much more. Today, the Strike Force is a beloved knife amongst bushcraft enthusiasts and hunters. It is solidly constructed, with enough blade thickness for heavy-duty tasks. Perfect for woodworking, gutting game and many other outdoor tasks.

The blade is made from CPM 3CV-steel. A tool steel that is known for its exceptional strength. As such it won't break and will retain its sharpness well. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

The handle is made from canvas micarta. This is a strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. It is comfortable to hold, even in wet or cold conditions.
