Leatherman launches five brand-new knives! And that’s something special: for the first time in over 40 years, they’re introducing an entirely new line of pocket knives and fixed blades – without any additional tools. The fixed blades, Rustle, Trac and Pioneer, are perfect companions for outdoor enthusiasts, while the Glider and Blazer shine as compact pocket knives that combine style with everyday usability. Each knife is carefully crafted in the USA and backed by a 25-year warranty. This isn’t just a product launch – this is Leatherman at its finest.

For this launch, Leatherman could have taken the easy route. However, instead of collaborating with external parties experienced in producing folding and fixed-blade knives, the brand chose to establish an entirely new factory, assemble a new team, and develop a completely original design philosophy. This approach allows Leatherman to maintain full control over both design and finish. The result? Knives that truly embody the slogan ‘Built Different’.

Leatherman Knives: MagnaCut with Hollow Grind

It's worth noting that all knives in this launch are crafted from MagnaCut steel, a type of steel typically reserved for Leatherman's premium multitool models. The hollow grind is also a new feature in the Leatherman lineup. Thanks to the thinner edge, the cutting performance of these knives is significantly enhanced.

Leatherman Glider: Lightweight Pocket Knife for Precision Work and Everyday Use

The Glider is a modern pocket knife designed for daily use, emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and carrying comfort. The hollow-ground sheepsfoot blade is ideal for precise cutting tasks and appears less aggressive than many other blade shapes—making it suitable for public use.

The minimalist design is evident in every detail. The knife comprises only 12 components, with just 2 visible screws. The handle consists of two 3D-milled stainless steel parts, precisely fitted together without backspacers. Leatherman employs extremely tight tolerances here, resulting in a seamless finish. Impressive craftsmanship!

The locking mechanism is known as a Compression Wedge Lock: an innovative construction that cleverly combines elements of a button lock and an axis lock, resulting in a safe and smooth-operating lock. The lock is patent pending. In a market where patenting a locking mechanism is quite rare, this is an achievement in itself!

With the reversible deep-carry pocket clip, removable thumb stud, and included Torx bit, you can fully customize the Glider to your preferences. The durable Cerakote coating in Okra green or Jet Black completes the package. Compact, thoughtfully designed, and ready for everyday use.

Leatherman Blazer: minimalist pocket knife with maximum performance

The Blazer shares much of its DNA with the previously mentioned Glider: a sleek, minimalist design, the same durable steel, 3D-milled handle scales with high-quality finish, and the patented Compression Wedge Lock locking mechanism. What sets the Blazer apart is its versatile drop point blade and the deep finger groove in the handle.

The drop point blade offers extra control and precision, with a strong tip suitable for various tasks—from opening packages to fine cutting. The finger groove provides a firm, comfortable grip and adds extra control during precision work.

Like the Glider, the Blazer features a removable thumb stud, an included Torx bit, and a reversible deep-carry pocket clip. The stainless steel handle is available in stylish gray or with a rugged denim blue Cerakote coating that not only adds character but also offers extra protection against wear.
